After a calm motor from Gloucester, we are anchored in Boston harbor. Not the main, busy part of the harbor, but rather the idyllic section with the “Boston harbor islands”many of which are a national park.
We tried first to anchor off George’s Is. Alas, the spot was too narrow between the channel and long piles of rocks. So, your faithful correspondent, working hard to provide you with entertainment chose to anchor in Perry Cove at Peddocks Island. Fortunately it is designated as an “Anchorage for Explosives” in big bold red letters. Given our previous exploding head, we think that this is exactly the place for us.
We’re hoping for no more explosions in our day and in yours.
