Exports from Dominica

Bananas and coconuts are big year-round exports from here.  Here’s how it happens.

This is the same boat that yesterday I assumed wrongly was used for fishing.  She headed north the next morning bound for islands up to St. Martin.  We learned that locals here often will buy these boats in poor condition and bring them back up into working order.  Some of the ones in the harbor don’t look like they have made it that far.
