The welder here came through and we are back in business. Here’s the crucial piece, a “piston lever.” Yes, I realize that it is exciting. We heard that the welder was a machinist in the Honduras Navy. We found him through Scully Cartwright, the local guide and ambassador of sorts for visitors to the island. We took the piece to his house and he had it done later the same day. Not bad for a Saturday.
It’s the little things in life that get you from day to day.
We actually have spent quite a bit of time on land too and love it here. The pace of life is slow and simple and the island is amazingly beautiful. Yesterday we took an interesting tour with Scully. This morning, the boys tried stalking bonefish again with Scully. We saw plenty, but apparently had the wrong tackle as they showed almost no interest. Still, it was a thrill to see them so well.
