Family Islands Regatta, Georgetown

We were lucky to have the Family Islands Regatta start in Georgetown before we left for Conception.  They race in three classes of Bahamian dinghies.  We were even more fortunate that they set the upwind mark just to weather of the main anchorage.  We had quite a show.  The boards are for hiking.  The dinghies are surprisingly fast even in the light airs we had.

Oh, man – no. It isn’t easy watching the racing. Hannes and I miss it.
