Boston

After a night off of Peddocks Island, we spent five days in Boston poking around and hanging out with friends we met our first time in Boston (2011), the Landrums.  We filled every minute with swimming, eating ice cream, listening to a concert in the park, touring the old north church and the print and chocolate making shop, walking the decks of USS Cassin Young, eating breakfast at Theo’s and riding the swan boats.  It was a great time and it was wonderful to see the Landrums.  Even after a year, the kids pick up like no time had passed since our last visit.

On Friday, we had our sad goodbyes, and headed out to Peddocks Island again as there was a ranger led birding program at 0830 Saturday morning.  We didn’t see anything particularly unusual, but still had a great time before heading off for Belfast (the one in Maine, this time).

We really like the stone, pebble, rubble beaches on these islands.
